This little heater is perfect. It’s quiet, it’s compact, and it keeps me warm! What’s not to love? I also like the built in safety feature, which is the little button underneath which, if the heater gets tipped over, or is even lifted off the ground, it turns off. Also, I like that the body stays cool regardless of temperature so it’s not hot to the touch. The only potentially negative thing I have, if you can even call it that, is when I put it on the HIGH heat setting, it smells like heat… vaguely like hot plastic even though the unit is NOT, in fact, melting. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, I am finally comfortable at my office. LOVE IT.

Would be a great heater if it were warmer. Love the vornado brand and it’s ability to circulate air but this heater only uses 750 watts which is energy efficient but it doesn’t produce enough heat to be worth using.

Used it once and it didn’t give off enough heat. Second time I used it the air was cold. Threw it out.

I bought this Hc Vn Personal Vortex Heater for keeping me warm in strong air conditioned office. It works perfectly. I put it under neath of the desk. It warms up about 2 sqft area near my legs and lower body so I can wear skirt in the summer without feeling cold in the office. It is so small, quiet and safe.
I am glad I bought it.
Weak heat, but strong plastic smell – Lavoris L’Oreal – San Francisco, CA
This heater doesn’t draw much power, but it also doesn’t put out much heat, and because it’s blowing at you via fan it feels even cooler. It also emits a burning plastic smell. To get rid of the smell, I put it on the balcony and let it run several hours, but that did not entirely clear up the problem. This was an expensive mistake. I give it two stars as it does seem well made, and since others seem satisfied maybe I was just unlucky and happened to get a faulty unit.

I’ve only been using this shaver for a couple weeks. So far I’m very pleased with the results. I get a close shave, wet or dry, and it doesn’t irritate my skin. It handles the longer hairs without much difficulty. I usually shave dry, but if I miss a day I use foam. I’ll probably stop using the cleaning system when the free soap runs out. I don’t see what that can possibly do to clean it better, or prolong its life, than using soap and hot water. If anything, I think that leaving it in the stand plugged in all the time would shorten its life. I haven’t had any problem with the charging system as others have reported, nor would I expect to after only using for 2 week, but it’s been reported by purchasers of the factory new model of this shaver as well. It’s something I’ll keep an eye on. I am curious about whether those that have experienced charging problems leave it on the charger all the time, only charge it when it’s low, or there’s no pattern?

Have had two of these. I bought them because I like to shave in the shower, but I can’t recommend them. Shaving performance is OK, not spectacular, but the real problem is that battery life has been extremely short with both of them. I bought the second one thinking the first one might just have been defective. But after several months, the second one was dead on a Tuesday after being charged on Sunday and not used in between. You can’t use this shaver while it is plugged in, either.

I’ve had a few of the top-of-the-line electric shavers and this one has been the best. I had a N brand before that was a 3-head and was pretty good but I feel that this one shaves much closer.
I have had an issue with the battery life although I think it’s run it’s course considering I’ve owned it for nearly 4 years. After 2.5 years the battery would not keep a charge but it’s not an issue for me because I charge it daily. In the AM I shave then plug it up and use it while in the shower and it does a great job. Then I plug it up and it’s ready for a shave the next day as long as I don’t wait more than 15+ mins while turning it off and turning it back on. If you leave it on, it’ll run for as long as it needs to with no issues.
I have not replaced any parts and only occasionally (2x a month) use the clean-and-charge base. Most of the time I just charge it with the plug which makes it convenient for travel.
